It also contains dexamethasone, an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid that works by reducing swelling.</li>\n<li>This medication treats/prevents only bacterial eye infections.</li>\n<li>It will not work for other types of eye infections and may worsen them (such as infections caused by viruses, fungi, mycobacteria).</li>\n<li>Unnecessary use or overuse of any antibiotic can lead to its decreased effectiveness.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>How To Use:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>This medication is applied to the eye(s), usually 3 or 4 times a day or as directed by your doctor.</li>\n<li>Do not wear contact lenses while you are using this medicine.</li>\n<li>Sterilize contact lenses according to manufacturer's directions, and check with your doctor before you begin using them again.</li>\n<li>To apply the eye ointment, wash your hands first.</li>\n<li>To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the tube tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface.</li>\n<li>Tilt your head back, look upward, and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch.</li>\n<li>Place a 1/2 inch (1.5 centimeters) strip of ointment into the pouch by squeezing the tube gently. Close the eye and roll the eyeball in all directions to spread the medication.</li>\n<li>Try not to blink and do not rub the eye.</li>\n<li>Repeat these steps for your other eye if so directed.</li>\n<li>Wipe the tip of the ointment tube with a clean tissue to remove extra medication before recapping it. Use of steroids may make infections worse.</li>\n<li>If you have a red eye that has not been seen by a doctor.</li>\n<li>If you are allergic to dexamethasone, neomycin, polymyxin B.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>Warnings &amp; Precautions:</strong></b></p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Do not inject or swallow this medicine.</li>\n<li>Do not wear contact lenses while using it.</li>\n<li>Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine if you have a disorder causing a thinning of the eye tissues.</li>\n<li>Consult your doctor or pharmacist if your eye pain, redness, swelling, or irritation gets worse or persists. You may become more susceptible to eye infections with the use of this product.</li>\n<li>If you use it for a long period of time you may:&nbsp;</li>\n<li>Have increased pressure in your eye(s). You should have your eye pressure checked regularly while using it. This is especially important in children, as the risk of corticosteroid-induced increased pressure in the eye may be greater in children and may occur earlier than in adults. The risk of corticosteroid-induced increase intraocular pressure and/or cataract formation is increased in predisposed patients (e.g. diabetes).</li>\n<li>Develop cataract</li>\n<li>Become more susceptible to eye infections</li>\n<li>Talk to your doctor if you experience swelling and weight gain around the trunk and in the face as these are usually the first manifestations of a syndrome called Cushing's syndrome. Suppression of the adrenal gland function may develop after stopping a long-term or intensive treatment with this drug. These risks are especially important in children and patients treated with a drug called ritonavir or cobicistat.</li>\n<li>Contact your doctor if you experience blurred vision or other visual disturbances.</li>\n<li>Talk to your doctor before using this drug if you have diabetes or have a family history of diabetes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>Possible Side Effects:</strong></b></p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Eye irritation</li>\n<li>Increased tear production</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>Other medicines and Neomycin, Polymyxin B, Dexamethasone:</strong></b></p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Tell your doctor or pharmacist<span>&nbsp;</span>about all medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and herbal supplements.</li>\n<li>Tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:</li>\n<li>Topical NSAIDs. Simultaneous use of topical steroids and topical NSAIDs may increase healing problems in your eye.</li>\n<li>If you are using ritonavir or cobicistat, as this may increase the amount of dexamethasone in the blood.</li>\n<li>If you are diabetic and you are taking, having recently taken or might take medicines for treatment of diabetes such as insulin, metformin or sulfonylureas such as chlorpropamide, as this combination may decrease the blood glucose lowering effect of these medicines.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>How to take Neomycin, Polymyxin B, Dexamethasone:</strong></b></p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>The usual dose is 1 or 2 drops into the space between your eyelid and eye 6 times daily, or more frequently if required.</li>\n<li>Wash your hands before you start.</li>\n<li>Shake the bottle well.</li>\n<li>Twist off the bottle cap.</li>\n<li>Hold the bottle pointing down, between your thumb and fingers.</li>\n<li>Tilt your head back.</li>\n<li>Pull down your lower eyelid with a finger, until there is a &lsquo;pocket&rsquo; between the eyelid and your eye. The drop will go in here.</li>\n<li>Bring the bottle tip close to the eye. Do this in front of a mirror if it helps.</li>\n<li>Do not touch your eye or eyelid, surrounding areas or other surfaces with the dropper. It could infect the drops.</li>\n<li>Gently press on the base of the bottle to release one drop at a time.</li>\n<li>Keep the eyelid closed, while applying gently pressure to the corner of your eye by the nose. This helps to reduce the amount of medicine getting into the rest of the body.</li>\n<li>If you are using other eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes after putting in the drops before using the other eye drops. Modern insulin products are improved versions of human insulin.&nbsp;</li>\n<li>Insulin aspart/aspart protamine 30 is used to reduce the high blood sugar level in adults, adolescents and children aged 10 years and above with diabetes mellitus.&nbsp;</li>\n<li>Insulin aspart/aspart protamine 30 will start to lower your blood sugar 10&ndash;20 minutes after you inject it, the maximum effect occurs between 1 and 4 hours after the injection, and the effect lasts for up to 24 hours. Some medicines affect your blood sugar level:&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your blood sugar level may fall (hypoglycemia) if you take medicines for: diabetes, depression, blood pressure, certain heart conditions, pain and lower fever, fertility, infections.</li>\n<li>Your blood sugar level may rise (hyperglycemia) if you take medicines for: birth control, fluid retention, thyroid gland disorders, asthma, growth.</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>How to take Insulin aspart/aspart protamine 30:</b></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Always use your insulin and adjust your dose exactly as your doctor has told you.&nbsp;</li>\n<li>Insulin aspart/aspart protamine 30 is generally taken immediately before a meal. Eat a meal or snack within 10 minutes of the injection to avoid low blood sugar. When necessary, Insulin aspart/aspart protamine 30 can be given soon after a meal.&nbsp;</li>\n<li>Insulin aspart/aspart protamine 30 is for injection under the skin. Never inject your insulin directly into a vein or muscle.</li>\n<li>With each injection, change the injection site within the particular area of skin that you use. This may reduce the risk of developing lumps or skin pitting.&nbsp;</li>\n<li>The best places to give yourself an injection are: the front of your waist (abdomen); your buttocks; the front of your thighs or upper arms. The insulin will work more quickly if you inject around the waist. You should always measure your blood sugar regularly.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Use in children and adolescents :</b></p>\n<p>Insulin aspart/aspart protamine 30 can be used in adolescents and children aged 10 years and above when premixed insulin is preferred. Limited clinical data exists for children aged 6&ndash;9 years. No data are available for Insulin aspart/aspart protamine 30 in children below 6 years of age.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Use in special patient groups :</b></p>\n<p>If you have reduced kidney or liver function, or if you are above 65 years of age, you need to check your blood sugar more regularly and discuss changes in your insulin dose with your doctor.&nbsp;</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>How to store Insulin aspart/aspart protamine 30:</b></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label and carton, after &lsquo;EXP&rsquo;. Always keep the pen cap on.&nbsp;</li>\n<li>Before opening: Insulin aspart/aspart protamine 30 pen that is not being used is to be stored in the refrigerator at 2&deg;C to 8&deg;C, away from the cooling element. Do not freeze.&nbsp;</li>\n<li>During use or when carried as a spare: You can carry your Insulin aspart/aspart protamine 30 pen with you and keep it at a temperature below 30&deg;C or in a refrigerator (2˚C to 8˚C) for up to 4 weeks. If refrigerated, keep away from the cooling element. Do not freeze.&nbsp;</li>\n<li>Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use.
