The most common general</div>\n<div>side effect of Apixaban film-coated tablets is bleeding which may be potentially life threatening and require</div>\n<div></div>\n<div>immediate medical attention.</div>\n<div></div>\n<div><b>Other medicines and Apixaban film-coated tablets :</b></div>\n<div><b>&nbsp;</b></div>\n<div>The following medicines may increase the effects of Apixaban film-coated tablets and increase the chance for</div>\n<div>unwanted bleeding:</div>\n<div></div>\n<ul>\n<li>some medicines for fungal infections (e.g., ketoconazole, etc.)</li>\n<li>some antiviral medicines for HIV / AIDS (e.g., ritonavir)</li>\n<li>other medicines that are used to reduce blood clotting (e.g., enoxaparin, etc.)</li>\n<li>anti-inflammatory or pain medicines (e.g., acetylsalicylic acid or naproxen</li>\n<li>medicines for high blood pressure or heart problems (e.g., diltiazem)</li>\n<li>antidepressant medicines&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<div></div>\n<div><b>How to take Apixaban film-coated tablets :</b></div>\n<div><b>&nbsp;</b></div>\n<div>To prevent a blood clot from forming in the heart in patients with an irregular heart beat and at least one additional</div>\n<div>risk factor.</div>\n<div></div>\n<ul>\n<li>The recommended dose is one tablet of Apixaban film-coated tablets 5 mg twice a day.</li>\n<li>The recommended dose is one tablet of Apixaban film-coated tablets 2.5 mg twice a day if:</li>\n<li>you have severely reduced kidney function</li>\n<li>two or more of the following apply to you:</li>\n<li>your blood test results suggest poor kidney function</li>\n<li>you are 80 years old or older</li>\n<li>your weight is 60 kg or lower</li>\n</ul>\n<div></div>\n<div><b>How to store Apixaban film-coated tablets :</b></div>\n<div><b>&nbsp;</b></div>\n<div>Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.</div>\n<div>Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton and on the blister after EXP.
